Matt Reeves to direct new Twilight Zone movie

One of today’s most impressive new filmmakers, Matt Reeves (“Cloverfield”, “Let Me In”) is the guy Warner Bros wants for their single-story (as opposed to the ‘anthology’ style film that the 1983 version was) “Twilight Zone” movie.

Deadline says negotiatons with Reeves are underway and a deal is expected to be made next week. The film, which has Leonardo DiCaprio on it’s board of producers, would likely get underway next Summer.

Earlier this month it was revealed that Christopher Nolan, Michael Bay, Alfonso Cuaron and Rupert Wyatt had spoken to Warner about the project. Be interesting to know whether they passed or Reeves’s pitch simply outshone all others.
