McDonough and Mitchell in Hidden remake

Attached to Pariah’s “The Seed”

Neal McDonough, fresh off “The Hitcher” remake – met the guy recently, he’s a totally nice dude, and one hell of an actor – has decided he wants to stick around remakeville for a while.

The versatile actor – who also appeared in “Flags of Our Fathers” and “The Guardian” in recent times – will follow in the finely polished shoes of Michael Nouri by playing the male lead in “The Seed”, a remake of the 80s alien thriller “The Hidden”.

McDonough will join Australian actress Radha Mitchell – she’s becoming sort of a contemporary Ellen Ripley in the making isn’t she? – in the film, which is believed to – unlike most remakes – share similarities with the original Jack Sholder directed film, but mostly, features a brand new storyline.

In the remake, a mysterious killer returns from the past, forcing a young detective (Mitchell) to return to a case that took her mother’s life years before.

Rock Shaink Jr is currently attached to direct the film, based on his and Mark Jonathan Stanley’script.
