Melissa George catches the eye of teenager in The Insect King

Melissa George will star in “The Insect King”, a coming-of-age drama from first-time filmmaker Priscilla Cameron, says Deadline.

The Australian actress, known for her work on “Alias” and “Grey’s Anatomy”, plays an exotic 40-year-old woman who attracts the interest of both a middle-aged man and his 13-year-old son.

Taika Waititi (”Green Lantern”) and Australia’s Sophie Lowe (“Beautiful Kate”) also star in the film, which producer Abhi Rastogi, CEO of 108 Media, calls “an avant-garde masterpiece” that combines “comedy, drama, romance and fantasy to create a fairytale exploration of the magic of love.”

George, who got her start on Oz soap “Home & Away”, is currently recurring on TVs “The Good Wife”.
