Michael Kenneth Williams Out ofDjango Unchained

A couple of days ago, Clint reported that a couple of actors including “Dukes of Hazzard” star Tom Wopat, “Beverly Hills Cop” alum James Russo, Todd Allen (“Silverado”) and James Remar (“48 Hours”, “Dexter”) were the latest actors to join the ever-growing cast of Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained”.

Among those names was “Boardwalk Empire” star Michael Kenneth Williams. Williams was rumored to play muscle for ranch owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) after not landing the lead role, which Jamie Foxx will play.

But Deadline is now reporting that Williams’ role won’t work out because of his schedule on “Boardwalk Empire” and are instead scrapping that role completely.

Meanwhile, Williams is in talks for a supporting role in Ric Roman Waugh’s “Snitch” with Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon. Williams will play a narcotics kingpin with a short temper who becomes involved with a man (Dwayne Johnson) who is turning DEA snitch to get his son a reduced prison stretch. The film shoots early next month.

“Snitch” will be out in theaters sometime in 2013.
