In what’s sure to be a cinematic experience more mindf*cking than a mother-in-law post-Year 12 career day, “Elysium” reunites Matt Damon with ‘Space’ – which he previously did time with on cartoony thing “Titan A.E”.
The follow-up to his ambitious spectacular nerdgasm “District 9”, Neil Blomkamp’s new film fixes on Max (Matt Damon), an ordinary guy in desperate need to get to Elysium. With his life hanging in the balance, he reluctantly takes on a dangerous mission — one that pits him against Elysium’s Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) and her hard-line forces — but if he succeeds, he could save not only his own life, but millions of people on Earth as well. “District 9” star Sharlto Copley is also in the thing, as is ‘old reliable’ William Fichtner.
