Attendees at Disney’s shareholders meeting on Wednesday were treated to the first footage from this December’s “Star Wars : The Last Jedi”.
As brief as the tease was, the footage featured Luke Skywalker actually talking – considering he remained mute for his brief screentime in “Star Wars : The Force Awakens” – so it was notable. The footage picks up directly after “The Force Awakens”, with Skywalker asking Rey, standing there with his lightsaber, ‘Who are you?’.
Other characters who appear in the brief sizzle include Chewbacca, General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) and Finn (John Boyega). Various backdrops in the film, including lush mountains and oceans, reportedly looked dazzling.
