New Poster for the Titanic 3D Re-Release

Ooooh yeah! Get ready to head to the theaters with a packet of tissues in your hands like it’s 1997 all over again! In May, we told you that James Cameron’s tear-jerker “Titanic” would be heading back to theaters in 3D and make us fall in love with Leo Dicaprio all over again and in August, we got an update of sorts from Steven Quale about the 3D aspect.

Well, Paramount Pictures has released the poster for the 3D release of James Cameron’s “Titanic”. The film will play in 3D and IMAX 3D theaters worldwide on April 6.

Written, directed and produced by Cameron, “Titanic” is the second-highest grossing movie of all time. It is one of only three films to have received a record 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director; and launched the careers of stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

Since we’ve all seen “Titanic” by now, I have to ask, are you all excited about the 3D re-release of “Titanic”? I totally love the film and watch it almost every time it’s on TV, so I’m looking forward to it. How about you guys?

The re-release will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Titanic when it originally set sail (April 10th, 1912).

“Titanic” originally opened in theaters on December 19, 1997 and follows the story of a boy and girl from differing social backgrounds meet during the ill-fated maiden voyage of RMS Titanic.

Kathy Bates, Victor Garber, Bill Paxton, Frances Fisher and Billy Zane also star in the film.
