Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”) may play Marilyn Monroe in director Andrew Dominik’s “Blonde”. The picture, which Brad Pitt will produce, originally had Naomi Watts attached to play the legendary movie siren.

“Edge of Tomorrow” director Doug Liman is in talks to direct an adaptation of the kid’s book “Railhead” for Warner Bros. The Phillip Reeve book tells of a thief who steals an object that’s more valuable than he ever perceived.

Sony Pictures Classics are releasing “Foxcatcher”, starring Steve Carell and Channing Tatum, on November 14. While Tina Fey/Amy Poehler comedy “The Nest”, from Universal, will hit cinemas December 18, 2015 (the same date as “Star Wars Episode VII” is released).

Roberto Orci, who it was announced this week will be parting ways with his frequent co-writer/co-producer Alex Kurtzman, is keen on directing “Star Trek 3”.

Dimension has boarded Johannes Roberts’ “47 Meters Down”, “a thriller set at the bottom of the ocean about two sisters trapped in an undersea observation cage who must survive a dwindling oxygen supply and the hungry great whites circling nearby.”
