Uma Thurman has joined the cast of “American Ultra”, which reunites “AdventureLand” duo Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg.

Martin Sheen has joined the cast of Warren Beatty’s untitled Howard Hughes movie.

Karen Corner will write Uni’s “Everything Nice”, based on the novel by Ellen Sherman, which is being written as a potential starring vehicle for Charlize Theron. ”The hope is for her to play Michaela, an advertising exec who gets fired and takes on the only job she can get, teaching life skills to teenage girls at a public school. Lacking in the basic social skills herself, she tries her best to school her pupils in what they’ll need to know in order to survive.”

Nicole Perlman (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) will adapt the young adult novel “The Fire Sermon” for Dreamworks.

“Scandal” star Tony Goldwyn will play a Mormon polygamist in the Lifetime telemovie “Outlaw Prophet”.

Gary Oldman is producing a horror drama series for Entertainment One Television called “The Diabolical”. The show, the pilot of which is being written by Daniel Kay, “centers on a broken but brilliant exorcist who falls in love with a single mother with a young son possessed by an ancient entity with diabolic intentions that not only threaten the boy, but the very fate of mankind.”

Chris Boal has been hired to write the “Zorro” reboot for Sony.

Sarita Choudhury, Omar Elba, Tracey Fairaway, David Menkin and Tom Skerritt have joined the cast of Tom Twker’s “A Hologram for the King”, set to star Tom Hanks. “Hanks plays a struggling businessman who heads for a rising Saudi Arabian city, far from weary, recession-scarred America, in a last-ditch attempt to stave off foreclosure, pay his daughter’s college tuition, and finally do something great.”
