No second season for TVLand’s Kirstie

Kirstie Alley’s latest sitcom has been canned after just one season.

TVLand has pulled the plug on “Kirstie”, the low-rating laffer that teamed Alley with fellow “Cheers” alum Rhea Perlman and “Seinfeld” favourite Michael Richards.

Though the ratings and reviews likely played a significant part in TVLand’s decision not to renew “Kirstie” for a second season, the show also lost showrunner Marco Pennette at the end of the first season, suggesting things have been rocky for a while.
