Oliver Stone to direct Edward Snowden movie

Oliver Stone, never one to shy away from a controversial topic, will bring “The Snowden Files : The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man” to the big screen.

The Guardian, who have the scoop, say the film is set to go before the cameras by the end of 2014.

Edward Snowden was a 29-year-old computer genius working for the National Security Agency when he shocked the world by exposing the near-universal mass surveillance programs of the United States government.

The book “The Snowden Files” was written by Guardian correspondent Luke Harding.
