Oprah’s remaking Terms of Endearment!?

“You get a tissue! And YOU get a tissue! And YOU get a tissssue!”

One of the most treasured mother-daugther dramedys of all time is set to get the… Oprah treatment.

“Terms of Endearment”, James L.Brook’s award-winning ‘80s drama starring Shirley MacLaine and Debra Winger as a tight but forever-feuding mother and daughter unit, is set for a remake. Lee Daniels (“The Butler”) is looking to reunite with Oprah Winfrey on the project.

Winfrey would play the role of Aurora Greenway, the smothering, eccentric mother MacLaine gave life to in “Endearment” and it’s so-so sequel “The Evening Star”.

Aside from head-turning performances from MacLaine and Winger, “Terms of Endearment” also featured an award-winning turn from Jack Nicholson – as the former’s love interest.
