“Masters of Sex” star Michael Sheen will join Jennifer Lawrence and Christ Pratt in Sony’s sci-fier “Passengers”.
The space romance is being directed by Morten Tyldum from Jon Spaihts’ screenplay about thousands of passengers on a space craft making an interstellar voyage to a distant new planet.
Set in the future, the film sees one passenger wake from a cryogenic sleep 90 years before anyone else, deciding to wake up a female passenger, sparking the beginning of a love story.
Sheen will play the robot that is traveling on the spacecraft with Pratt and Lawrence’s characters.
Producers are Original Film’s Neal Moritz & Ori Marmur, Michael Maher of Start Media and Stephen Hamel of Company Films.
