Brit beauty Hayley Atwell, best known for her role as Peggy Carter in the MCU (and short-lived “Agent Carter” spin-off TV series), has been enlisted for the seventh “Mission Impossible” film.
Atwell and director Christopher McQuarrie revealed the 37-year-old’s anointment to the IMF squad in a series of Instagram posts earlier today.
The actress, hot off “Blinded By The Light”, will share the screen with returning star Tom Cruise in the July 3, 2021 release. An eighth film int he series, also to be written and directed by McQuarrie, has been scheduled for August 5, 2021.
Paramount has slated M:I 7 to open July 23, 2020, and M:I 8 for August 5, 2022. McQuarrie confirmed in January that he’d write and direct both.
