Poster for upcoming reboot of Wrong Turn revealed

Everyone loves “Wrong Turn” – incestuous beasts lurking in the forest, waiting for their next kill to arrive: what better way to put us all off taking the dirt road for good? Perhaps the endless supply of sequels that followed the 2003 slasher jumped the shark a tad, but the good news is that the upcoming remake, titled “Wrong Turn: The Foundation”, is a complete reboot of the original franchise.

A new poster has made its way online, not revealing anything except some broken antlers. However, the character list on IMBD include names such as Deer Skull, Ram Skull, and Wild Board Skull. The new take on the long-running franchise will bring a group of unlucky friends to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia to spend a couple days hiking the Appalachian Trail. In this one, they are confronted by “The Foundation”, a community of people who have lived in the mountains since before the Civil War – oh, and they don’t take well to strangers.

The director of “The Foundation” is Mike P. Nelson, from a script written by Alan B. McElroy – who also wrote the original film.

Starring in “Wrong Turn: The Foundation” are Matthew Modine, Damian Maffei, Bill Sage, Emma Dumont, Valerie Jane Parker, Chaney Morrow and David Hutchinson. Dylan McTee, Adrian Favela, Adain Bradley, Jeremy Ambler, Cory Scott Allen, Gary Ray Stearns, Rhyan Elizabeth Hanavan, Vardaan Arora, Mark Mench, Joshua Stephen Campbell, Jennie Malone, Brian James Fitzpatrick and Mark Angel also star.

The film hits theatres in 2020, with the poster not saying more than “coming soon”. See you in the cinema, folks.
