Preacher is coming to TV in May

Supernatural comedic drama “Preacher” is set to premiere at 10PM on May 22, after the “Fear The Walking Dead” mid-season finale on AMC.

Following the premiere, new episodes will air on Sundays at 9PM, from June 5.

“Preacher” is based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s popular ’90s comic book franchise and stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Joseph Gilgun as Cassidy, Ruth Negga as Tulip, Lucy Griffiths as Emily, W. Earl Brown as Sherriff Root, Anatol Yusef as DeBlanc, Tom Brooke as Fiore, Derek Wilson as Donnie Schenck and Ian Colletti as Eugene/Arseface.

Preacher is the story of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse embarks on a journey to, literally, find God, joined by his ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun).
