Rachel McAdams to join the MCU!?

Rachel McAdams might follow up her “True Detective” stint with another rather arresting role, playing top female in Marvel’s “Doctor Strange”.

According to Heroic Hollywood (with Aint it Cool seconding the rumour), Marvel is currently sorting out a deal for the “Notebook” actress to join Benedict Cumberbatch in the Scott Derrick son-directed superhero film.

“Doctor Strange”, which will also boast the acting gifts of Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor, would begin it’s [assumingly lengthy] shoot in London in November. It’s skedded for a November 2016 release.

For the uninitiated, “Doctor Strange” tells of an arrogant but brilliant scientist, Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch) who gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under his wing and trains him to use his talents to fight evil.

This wouldn’t be the first time McAdams has flirted with a comic book movie, she was also said to be a contender for the Catwoman role in “Dark Knight Rises” before Anne Hathaway was fingered for the gig.
