Ridley Scott directing a new Alien film

… well, kind of.

Another day, another “Prometheus” tidbit.

Yesterday we reported that Ridley Scott is planning multiple sequels to his 2012 science-fiction film – the latter films of which will connect directly to his 1979 masterpiece “Alien”.

Seems there’s going to be an even bigger “Alien” connection much sooner. Scott tells HeyUGuys that the new film will be called “Alien : Paradise Lost” – yep, no mention of “Prometheus” at all.

The movie will, naturally, have connecting tissue to John Milton’s legendary poem ‘Paradise Lost’. A quick google on that and you’ll see where the “Prometheus” sequel might be headed.

In addition to Scott’s film, Neil Blomkamp is directing a more traditional “Alien” movie -with Sigourney Weaver back as Ellen Ripley; it’ll be interesting to see how it connects or links – if at all – to Scott’s film.
