Check out the first image of Robert De Niro as Bernie Madoff and Michelle Pfeiffer as Ruth Madoff from “Wizard of Lies”.

Based on Diana Henriques’ book (with additional source material from Laurie Sandell’s book “Truth and Consequences”), the HBO telefilm centres on Bernie Madoff’s massive Ponzi scheme, including how it was perpetrated on the public and the trail of destruction it left in its wake, both for the victims and Madoff’s family.

Barry Levinson directred from John Burnham Schwartz, Sam Baum and Sam Levinson’s screenplay.
