Ronda Rousey’s Road House remake nabs The Notebook helmer

Nick Cassavetes (“The Notebook”) has signed on to write and direct MGM’s “Road House”.

The remake of the 1980s film stars Ronda Rousey as a New York City bouncer who takes over security at a small rural bar, just when the bar becomes the target of a corrupt businessman.

In the original film, the role was played by Patrick Swayze.
