Sony is remaking “Little Women” and is courting Sarah Polley to adapt, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Former Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal (who is producing the new “Ghostbusters” and “Spider-Man” films) will produce alongside her former employer.
The last major film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel was in 1994, with Winona Ryder, Claire Danes and Kirsten Dunst starring.
The studio has been considering remaking “Little Women” for a couple of years now.
