A wishlist for Lionsgate’s upcoming “Robin Hood : Origins” has been revealed, with “Kingsman” star Taron Egerton and “Mad Max Fury Road” actor Nicholas Hoult amongst those being considered for the role of Sherwood Forest’s most famous archer.
The project, one of several Robin Hood films in the works, will tell the backstory of the Nottingham hero. According to Deadline, Taron Egerton, Dylan O’Brien (“The Maze Runner”), Hoult, Jack Huston (“Boardwalk Empire”) and Jack Reynor (“Transformers: Age of Extinction”) are the frontrunners for the role of the big-hearted outlaw.
The only actor believed to have met with director Otto Bathurst (“Peaky Blinders”) thus far is Reynor.
