Malin Akerman has joined the cast of Showtime’s “Billions”.
The drama pilot is set in the world of high finance – as the title would suggest – and will see Akerman play Lara Axelrod, a former nurse from humble beginnings who is now married to billionaire hedge fund titan Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis).
Paul Giamatti, Maggie Siff, Toby Leonard Moore, Condola Rashad and David Costabile also star.
“Billions” is written and exec produced by Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin.
“Divergent” helmer Neil Burger is directing the pilot with production currently underway in New York.
