Joining Fey and Poehler in the comedy
Sigourney Weaver seems to be on a real comeback – not that she really went anywhere; it’s just that nobody seemed to know what to do with her outside of suggesting she do another “Alien” movie – doesn’t she? Hot on the heels of her signing for Jim Cameron’s “Avatar”, the acclaimed actress has been recruited for “Baby Mama” a new comedy starring “Saturday Night Love” vets Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
Written and directed by Michael McCullers, the film centers on a single career woman (Fey) whose desire to have a child and keep her career leads her to hire a surrogate (Pohler). Weaver will play Chaffee Bicknell, owner and operator of the surrogate agency that Fey’s character uses.
In addition to “Avatar”, Cameron will also be seen in the thriller “Vantage Point” with Dennis Quaid and Matthew Fox.
