Singer unsure of Halle Berry’s involvement in X-Men : Days of Future Past

Director Bryan Singer seems much more convinced we’ll see a computer-generated character, over a fleshy Halle Berry, in the next “X-Men” movie.

Out promoting “Jack the Giant Slayer”, Singer said while he’s still unsure whether Berry’s Storm will have a part to play in the upcoming “X-Men : Days of Future Past”, he is looking to have a full CGI character in “X-Men : Days of Future Past”.

The filmmaker spoke of how great it was to be able to create the villains of “Jack the Giant Slayer” (that’d be the giants) by computer and said we might expect to see the technology on show again in his “X-Men” sequel.

“I definitely want to use this technology again, and I might even be using some of it in a different way in ‘X-Men.'”, he tells MTV. “I don’t want to say how, yet, but I’m definitely using some of this technology on ‘X-Men,’ which I never used in any of the other ‘X-Men’ films.”

Meantime, though Storm survived the previous “X-Men”, “X-Men : The Last Stand”, Singer can’t say for sure whether Halle Berry will be returning for the new film.

“I can’t say. I don’t know yet. And it’s not necessarily a deal making aspect at all,” he said. “I want to make sure it’ll make sense. But I love working with her.”

So far, “X-Men : Days of Future Past” includes a rather huge cast, including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, James Marsden, Anna Paquin and Ellen Page.
