The long-gestating reboot of “Spawn” has found a home with Blumhouse, it was reported Friday.
The new version, said to be a harder and more edgier take on the cult comic character, is being produced in partnership with Todd McFarlane’s McFarlane Films banner and Jason Blum’s popular haunt for horror. As previously reported, McFarlane will also helm.
“Having worked with many visionary directors, I think Todd’s unique artistic talents will only add to his role as director of this film,” Blum said in a statement.
