Oscar Isaac will play the title villain in director Bryan Singer’s “X-Men : Apocalypse”, according to Variety.
The “Star Wars : The Force Awakens” actor will join Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy in the 20th Century Fox production.
Set in the ’80s, the new film will see younger incarnations of some of the franchise’s best-known characters (recent rumours suggest a young Jean Grey and young Cyclops are amongst the new additions) taking on the destructive and deadly Apocalypse.
“X-Men : Apocalypse” is due May 27, 2016.
