Steven Moffat talks Doctor Who movie

Elves,

A little “Doctor Who” tidbit.

Writer / Producer Steven Moffat was asked on ‘BBC’s Breakfast’ this morning on what was happening with the recently announced “Doctor Who” film. Moffat, who also writes and produces “Sherlock” for the BBC as well as having penned the “Tin Tin” movie for Spielberg, appeared a little miffed and somewhat bored at the “Doctor Who” film question.

Director David Yates “got carried away” and his words, whether by him intentionally, or by others, had been misinterpreted by saying there would be a ‘Who’ movie with a different actor playing the Doctor. Moffat said “Never. It’s never going to happen. Just no way.” He continued by stating he’d like to see a “Doctor Who” movie one day, but “It would be with the same actor who would be playing the Doctor in the TV show at that time.’

Meanwhile, the Christmas special episodes of the TV series begins with ‘The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe’ and is on Christmas Day, BBC ONE at 7pm in the UK.
