The Avengers Will Face Loki & Skrulls?

For months on end, rumors have run rampant that Loki (of “Thor”) would be the villain in prospective 2012 superhero smash “The Avengers”. But Loki’s not the only rogue rumoured to be going up against Iron Man and his crew.

The characters Known as The Skrulls (not to be confused with Super Skrulls, whose rights are still owned by Fox Studios) have also been thrown around the water cooler.

So which is it? an alien race or a ‘god of mischief?

Well according to  Latino Review, we may have our answer (though not official or confirmed).  Kelvin and the boys are claiming that it is not Loki or The Skrulls…Its both .

Says the site, “The main villain for The Avengers is none other than Thor’s adoptive brother and archenemy Loki (Tom Hiddleston) [but] needs some serious muscle to go up against “The Avengers” and he does this by using the cosmic cube seen in “Captain America: The First Avenger.” Loki uses the cube to get a hold of the Aliens (aka The Skrulls) to invade Earth and fight “The Avengers.” Skrulls are green-skinned reptilian humanoids with large pointed ears, red or green eyes, and corrugated chins.”

In other ”Avengers” ‘news,  already been shot. This teaser includes Loki and may show up in front of Marvel’s “Thor” or “Captain America:  The First Avenger”:

“I got word that MARVEL has shot a specific teaser trailer for THE AVENGERS – and that LOKI is featured in that teaser trailer. I imagine that will either be on THOR or CAP”, reports AICN.
