There’s talk swirling around the internet that Sacha Baron Cohen has added another film to his busy schedule for 2012 – “Les Misérables”.
He’ll play the baddie Monsieur Thenardier, according to the British press, alongside Helena Bonham Carter (yes!) as his ruthless wife, Madame Thenardier.
Sacha Baron Cohen’s already got support for it within Hollywood, with Matt Lucas (the “Little Britain” star who’s playing Thenardier on stage at London’s West End) tweeting his congratulations:
Cohen will join Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, and Anne Hathaway as Fantine – in the all-singing, all-dancing cast!
The musical film will be directed by Tom Hooper (“The King’s Speech”) and will come out in December 2012.
