Thor & Hulk doing Odd Couple movie!?

The next “Thor” movie will be somewhat of a “odd-couple road trip movie” according to actor Mark Ruffalo, who is reprising the role of Bruce Banner-The Hulk for the muscle-infested punchfest.

Speaking with Empire this week, Ruffalo said the libretto for “Thor : Ragnarok”, which Australia will double as Outer-Space for, reminds him of a good old fashioned universal road movie.

“There’s a little bit of Midnight Run, with [Charles] Grodin and [Robert] De Niro. I feel like that’s kind of where we’re heading with this relationship between Thor and Banner…. It is a universal road movie – that’s where we’re heading… It’s not where you’d think it will be, so it’s not your classic road movie but it has that structure, I think.”

Ruffalo, currently winning raves for his role in “Spotlight”, says he and Chris Hemsworth (‘Thor’) get on like a house on fire so it’s no surprise they’ve been brought together for the new film.

”I love Chris [Hemsworth], and it’s not an accident that we’ve been put together because we have a good time together and we goof off. The fact that we’re moving towards the smart-comedic bent plays into our relationship. [Am I looking forward to that?] Hells, yeah.”
