Transpotting 2 on track for 2016?

Things are looking good for a “Trainspotting” sequel, according to one of the stars of the 1996 film, Ewan McGregor.

The “Son of a Gun” actor says the new film would ideally hit theaters 2016, twenty years after the release of the original.

“It looks like it might happen. And I’d be up for it”, the actor told USA Today. “I wouldn’t have been 10 years ago, but I am now.”

The movie would reunite McGregor with director Danny Boyle, whom he had a famous falling-out with after Boyle cast Leonardo DiCaprio in his film “The Beach” – in a part he promised McGregor.

“It was an unfortunate situation, and it wasn’t handled well. I was very upset. But time has gone by, and we put to bed the bad feelings and all of that (stuff).”
