Tyler Hoechlin, Justin Chatwin, Samuel Anderson and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow have boarded the Netflix sci-fi drama series ”Another Life”. The four join previously announced Katee Sackhoff and Selma Blair.
“Spin City” alum Jennifer Esposito will do a five-ep stint on Amazon’s straight-to-series superhero drama ”The Boys.” Based on the comic book by Garth Ennis (”Preacher”) and Darick Robertson and created by Supernatural creator and Timeless co-creator Eric Kripke, The Boys is set in a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame. It revolves around a group of vigilantes known informally as “the Boys” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty. Preacher‘s Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen are set to direct. (Deadline)
SHOWTIME has released the series premiere of its new comedy “Kidding” early across multiple platforms. The series stars Golden Globe winner Jim Carrey in his first series regular role in more than two decades. KIDDING reunites Carrey with Oscar(R) winner Michel Gondry (”Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”) and is created by Dave Holstein (”WEEDS”, ”Raising Hope”). The premiere episode is available for free now on YouTube, Facebook and SHO.com. The 10-episode season of KIDDING will premiere on Sunday, September 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The ”Doom Patrol” has found its villain. Alan Tudyk (”Suburgatory”, ”Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”) has been cast as Eric Morden/Mr. Nobody in DC Universe’s upcoming live-action series Doom Patrol, from Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros TV. (Deadline)
