The Last Ship

Former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Eric Dane will star in the Michael Bay produced pilot “The Last Ship”.

“Based on the William Brinkley novel, The Last Ship centers on a global catastrophe that nearly obliterates the Earth’s population, forcing the crew of a naval destroyer to confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they are among the only survivors. Dane will star in the pilot as Tom Chanler, the commanding officer of the USS Nathan James who’s married with two young daughters.”

The series will screen on TNT.

Grey’s Anatomy

Neve Campbell will reunite with her “Scream 3” co-star Patrick Dempsey on the hit ABC soap.

Campbell, an alum of “Party of Five”, will play Derek’s (Dempsey) sister on the show (one of his four siblings).

Campbell first appears in December, but it’s not clear whether she’s playing ”either the as-yet-unseen Kathleen or the mysterious unnamed fourth sibling.”

Soap star Mary Page Keller, of “Pretty Little Liars”, has joined the cast of the “dramatic adaptation of the Mexican drama by Miguel Angel Fox ” which “revolves around April (Italia Ricci), a 23-year-old girl who is diagnosed with a terminal illness.”

Keller will play Sara, the widowed mother to April and her14-year-old sister, Brenna.

The show will air on ABC Family.

American Horror Story : Asylum

Former “Deadwood” star Ian McShane has joined the cast of “American Horror Story : Asylum”, Ryan Murphy’s spookfest over at FX.

Murphy announced the news via Twitter, but didn’t offer any specifics on McShane’s character (only that he’ll tussle with Jessica Lange’s character).

King and Maxwell

Jon Tenney (“The Closer”, “Beverly Hills Cop 3”) will star in the CBS TV Studios production, adapted from characters created by bestselling author David Baldacci.

“In the vein of Moonlighting, it follows Sean King (Tenney) and Michelle Maxwell, who aren’t the typical pair of private investigators. Both are former secret service agents, and their unique skill set (not to mention their razor-sharp chemistry) often gives them a leg up on suspects and conventional law enforcement.”
