TV News: Good Behavior, Animal Kingdom, Homeland, The Affair, Wayward Pines, Grace and Frankie, The Leftovers, Nathan For You

TNT has ordered two new drama series: “Good Behavior” and “Animal Kingdom.”

“Good Behavior” comes from “Wayward Pines” creator Chad Hodge and stars Michelle Dockery and Juan Diego Botto.

Based on Blake Crouch’s Letty Dobesh novels, the show follows “Dobesh, a thief and a con artist fresh out of prison whose life is always one wrong turn and bad decision away from implosion — just how she likes it. However, when she overhears a hitman being hired to kill a man’s wife, she sets out to derail the job, launching her on a collision course with the killer and thereby entangling them in a dangerous and seductive relationship” (via Variety).

“Animal Kingdom” stars Ellen Barkin, Scott Speedman, Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Finn Cole and Daniella Alonso.

Based on the 2010 Australian film of the same name, the show follows “17-year-old Joshua “J” Cody (Cole), who moves in with his freewheeling relatives in their Southern California beach town after his mother dies of a heroin overdose. Headed by boot-tough matriarch Janine “Smurf” Cody (Barkin) and her right-hand man Baz (Speedman), who runs the business and calls the shots, the clan also consists of Pope (Hatosy), the oldest and most dangerous of the Cody boys; Craig (Robson), the tough and fearless middle son; and Deran (Weary), the troubled, suspicious baby of the family” (via Variety).

Showtime has renewed “Homeland” and “The Affair” ahead of their December 20 season finales.

“Homeland” will return for its sixth season while “The Affair” has landed its third season.

Fox has given a 10-ep second season order to “Wayward Pines”.

The show will return in 2016 without series creator and showrunner Chad Hodge.

Netflix has ordered a third season of “Grace and Frankie” before the show’s second season premiere next year.

HBO has renewed cult drama “The Leftovers” for season 3.

Series creators Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta have opted to end the show after the third season.

Comedy Central has ordered a fourth season of its offbeat reality series “Nathan for You”.

The third season finale airs on Thursday at 10PM.
