Kerry Washington and Katie Lowes will exec produce an untitled dramedy about a clique of young nannies for Shondaland.

The project is in development at ABC and is described as “an edgy and comical upstairs-downstairs look at the insanity of modern child-rearing, focusing on the group of nannies, a trio of interconnected families and their various support staffs, all trying to help the kids grow up when they haven’t yet quite grown up themselves” (via Variety).

Bess Wohl will pen the script.

Despite renewing the show in July, HBO has now axed comedy “The Brink”, starring Jack Black and Tim Robbins.

“After evaluating our schedule and our programming needs, we unfortunately decided we cannot give The Brink the attention it deserves for a second season,” HBO said in a statement to Deadline. “We are proud of the first season and wish everyone involved in this show the very best.”

Fox has ordered a full season of its comedy “The Grinder”.

Rob Lowe stars as an actor famous for playing a lawyer on TV. Fred Savage plays his younger brother, who actually is an attorney.

“The Grinder” is created and written by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul.

“Botched” doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif will star in a spinoff series of the E! program.

The series is titled “Botched By Nature” and will follow the plastic surgeons’ nationwide pursuit to help patients suffering from genetics or traumatic incidents and allowing these people to share their powerful stories with the world.
