Twilight director says Miss You Already to Collette, Weisz

Catherine Hardwicke, director of “Twilight” and “Red Riding Hood”, will helm comedy drama “Miss You Already”.

Toni Collette and Rachel Weisz star, playing two lifelong friends living in London.

Morwenna Banks wrote the screenplay from personal experience, which sees the women’s friendship tested to its limits when one woman falls pregnant and the other falls ill.

“When I met Morwenna Banks and read her script, I really felt her passion for this story — this is something she lived through,” said Hardwicke. “She managed to take real life and turn it into a powerful, laugh-and-cry-out-loud screenplay.”

Production will get underway in September in the U.K.
