Mark Frost on returning to Twin Peaks, Log Lady’s eulogy

No, David Lunch and Mark Frost didn’t intentionally put that “See you again in 25 years” line in the series finale of the original “Twin Peaks” so they could pick up a quarter of a century later. Still, doesn’t stop the internet from assuming it was the grand plan all along.

According to Frost, who co-created the series and the upcoming Showtime sequel, it was that line that gave him the idea to revisit the show though.

In a new video, Frost explains how it all went down.

In another video, Frost reads an excerpt from his upcoming book “The Secret History of Twin Peaks”, in which Margaret Lanterman — a.k.a. the Log Lady (played in the series by the late, great Catherine E.Coulson) — eulogizes her friend Robert, who is another character featured in the book.

“There is much we cannot see,” Frost said. “Air, for instance. Most of the time. But knowing our next breath will follow our last without fail is an act of faith, is it not?”
