The trailer for the new “Star Trek” flick will premiere in front of prints of “Star Wars : The Force Awakens”, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Many-a-film wanted to get their trailer attached to Disney’s imminent megahit but in the end Paramount won over. It likely helped that “Star Trek Beyond” is produced by Bad Robot, the shingle behind “Force Awakens” and the company spearheaded by the latter’s director JJ Abrams.
“Star Trek Beyond” opens in theaters July 22, 2016.
