In mid-2016 Francis Lawrence was hired as director for a “Battlestar Galactica” film, and was in development long before then, but it seems to have disappeared into some kind of Cylon habitat. According to the director, however, the film is still on the cards.

Talking to Coming Soon, Lawrence addressed the progress of the film (which, by the way, is based on the 1978 television series created by Glen A. Larson – NOT the more recent version), stating that it is still in development. Lawrence’s latest film “Red Sparrow” is about to hit screens, so no doubt he’s been busy but seriously dude. We want some frakking Battlestar action!

By the sounds of the interview, Lawrence is taking his time to develop his own kind of take on it all, so check out what he has to say in the interview here.

We will sit here and await more news.
