Paramount has nabbed Sascha Penn’s script “Bounty” with Will Smith set to star.
Set in Boston, Smith will play a man who is wrongly convicted of murder. He escapes from prison in a bid to prove his innocence, however the task is made especially difficult when the widow of the man he supposedly killed puts a $10 million bounty on him, dead or alive.
Smith’s company Overbrook Entertainment will produce with Madhouse Entertainment’s Adam Kolbrenner. Robyn Meisinger will exec produce for Madhouse.
