Will Smith’s Concussion to bow Christmas Day

Will Smith drama “Concussion” will hit cinemas on December 25.

The film follows Smith’s character, Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic neuropathologist who discovered football-related brain trauma in a player and fought to bring awareness to the public.

The film is based on a GQ article by Jeanne Marie Laskas titled “Game Brain” and also stars Alec Baldwin, Luke Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Arliss Howard, Paul Reiser, David Morse and Albert Brooks.

Peter Landesman helms from his own script.

“Concussion” joins Paramount’s “Monster Trucks” and Fox’s Jennifer Lawrence starer “Joy” on the date. All three films will bow a week after the highly anticipated “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
