World War Z actor – no, not that one – is the new Doctor Who

Peter Capaldi, whose credits include TV’s “Veep” and the recent Brad Pitt hit “World War Z”, is the new Doctor Who.

The Glasgow born actor, 55, succeeds Matt Smith as the current time-traveler.

Smith will continue in the Doctor role through the series’ 50th anniversary special later this year, and will regenerate into Capaldi in the Christmas episode.
