Wrekin Hill Takes The End of Love

Chris Ball, President and CEO of LA-based film production and distribution company Wrekin Hill Entertainment, announced today that the company is acquiring North American rights to writer-director Mark Webber’s drama THE END OF LOVE. Webber also produced the film and stars in it alongside Issac Love, Shannyn Sossamon, Michael Cera, Jason Ritter, Amanda Seyfried, Aubrey Plaza, and Jocelin Donahue. Elizabeth Destro, Mollie Engelhart, and Matt Sprague also produced the project, which had its world premiere earlier this year at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Wrekin Hill plans to release the film theatrically and on VOD day and date in Late Summer/Early Fall 2012.

In THE END OF LOVE, Mark is a struggling actor stuck between the life he once knew and the one waiting for him. When the mother of his two-year-old son suddenly passes away, Mark is forced to confront his shortcomings. Their fates, now intertwined, hang in the balance as Mark grapples with his ability to grow up. When he meets Lydia, a young mother, he is no longer able to live in the comfort of denial.

Notes Ball: “Mark Webber truly shows his tremendous ability both as a filmmaker and actor in THE END OF LOVE; we are extremely honored to be working with him and his talented supporting cast on this film.”

Comments Webber: ”I’m thrilled that THE END OF LOVE has found the perfect home with Wrekin Hill. I was blown away with their appreciation and plan for the film, it truly is a perfect fit. I’m so grateful and happy that audiences everywhere will soon be able to see the film with tremendous support from such an awesome company.”

The deal for THE END OF LOVE was negotiated by Ball and Rene Cogan for Wrekin Hill with Kevin Iwashina and Christine D’Souza at Preferred Content on behalf of the filmmakers.
