Bryan Callen, who plays high school gym teacher/coach Rick Mellor on “The Goldbergs”, is attached to star in a spin-off, says THR.
To be set in the ’90s (as opposed to the ’80s”), the untitled series has landed at ABC with a script commitments and significant penalty attached.
The story? “It centers on two high school teachers who become unlikely father figures to the school secretary’s three misfit kids. It is rumored to take place in Philadelphia, where The Goldbergs is set.”
