Dolittle is back talking to the animals

Third sequel to the Eddie Murphy hit in the works

Duck Eddie…. Here’s another reminder of your not-so-proud past.

Twentieth Century Fox has greenlight another “Doctor Dolittle” sequel – and like the most recent instalment (“Doctor Dolittle 3”), it’ll be Eddie Murphy-less.

“Doctor Dolittle 4 : First Dog” is now in pre-production, with casting set to begin shortly. Its expected that Kyla Pratt will be back to reprise her role as the ‘new one that can talk to animals’, Maya Dolittle.

Craig Forrest, who served on the production team of the last sequel, will direct.

Its just one of several titles that FOX has earmarked for a direct-to-video release – another is a second sequel to “Behind Enemy Lines” – sometime over the next twelve months. A fifth “Doctor Dolittle” film is also in the planning stages, rumoured to be filming just a couple of months after this one wraps.

Get in line. Now.
