While 73 year old Harrison Ford was given the flick from the “Star Wars” franchise in “The Force Awakens”, director Steven Spielberg has assured fans that the same won’t happen to Ford in “Indiana Jones 5”.
Speaking to THR, Spielberg said of the film: “I think this one is straight down the pike for the fans… The one thing I will tell you is I’m not killing off Harrison [Ford] at the end of it.”
One of the men responsible for keeping Ford alive is David Koepp, who is writing the fifth installment. Producers on the film are Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.
“Indiana Jones 5” is due to open on July 19, 2019.
