Universal gives Mena a new title & release date

Universal Pictures has re-titled and re-dated it’s upcoming Tom Cruise starer.

“Mena” was supposed to be release on January 6, 2017, but now the film will be released on September 29, 2017 under the name “American Made”.

“American Made” is based on the outrageous (and real-life) exploits of Barry Seal, a hustler and pilot who was unexpectedly recruited by the CIA to run one of the biggest covert operations in US history.

Doug Liman is directing with Jesse Plemons, Domhnall Gleeson, Lola Kirke and Sarah Wright co-starring. Producers are Brian Grazer, Brian Oliver, Tyler Thompson, Kim Roth and Doug Davidson.

“American Made” will open against Sony’s “The Equalizer 2”.
