Billy Crudup is in talks to play Barry Allen’s Dad in Warner Bros’ “The Flash” movie, reports Variety.

Ezra Miller is locked in to play Barry Allen (aka The Flash) with Kiersey Clemons attached to play Iris West.

Rick Famuyiwa is directing from a screenplay by Seth Grahame-Smith based on a treatment by Chris Miller and Phil Lord.

Production is expected to start this year with the film set to open on March 16, 2018.

 

 

Casey Affleck is set to star in and direct indie survival drama “Light of My Life”.

The film, which Affleck also wrote, centers on a father and his young daughter who are trapped in the woods.

 

 

“Pretty Little Liars” actress Kara Royster has been cast in a guest role in the twelfth season of The CW’s “Supernatural”.

According to VarietyRoyster will play Alicia, a fellow hunter who crosses paths with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) in episode six of the upcoming season. Raised by a witch, Alicia and her brother Max now hunt the things that go bump in the night.

“Supernatural” Season 12 premieres Thursday, October 13 at 9PM.

 

 

Jason Mitchell (“Straight Outta Compton”) has joined the ensemble of director Kathryn Bigelow’s untitled Detroit Riots film.

Mitchell joins John Boyega, Anthony Mackie, Will Poulter, Ben O’Toole, and Jack Reynor in the film which has a script by Mark Boal.

 

 

Youngster Jack Gore has joined Justin Timberlake and Kate Winslet in the cast of writer/director Woody Allen’s untitled next film.

The drama is set in 1950s New York City, with Jim Belushi and Juno Temple attached to co-star.

No word yet on the nature of Gore’s role.
