Tomb Raider reboot’s casting coup!

Walter Goggins is in talks to play the villain in the new film adaptation of video game series “Tomb Raider”, says Variety.

The terrific “Justified” and “Django Unchained” actor joins Alicia Vikander, playing Lara Croft, in the Roar Uthaug film.

While it’d be nice to say Goggins involvement in the film suggests this version of “Tomb Raider” will be leaps and bounds better than the original films – let’s remember they featured Oscar Winner Angelina Jolie, her father and Oscar fave Jon Voight, a pre-007 Daniel Craig, acclaimed Aussie actor Noah Taylor, the wonderful Iain Glenn, Djimon Hounsou and Ciarán Hinds. Sometimes a good cast can only do so much…

Warner Bros, MGM and GK Films produce “Tomb Raider”, with plans to release March 16, 2018.
